One of the many antiques of questionabel source my great-grandfather collected. Some of the objects where probably stolen from archaeological excavations, because they have the typical number codes in ink on them. This one doesn't. It's an obviously asian statue, about 25cm high and made from cast iron. Even thought it's mostly hollow it is very heavy. The surface shows spots of a gold layer and red paint among some floral engravigns on the back. It has no traces of rust, so I think it was professionaly restauratet and maybe sealed with varnish. The right hand is missing, while the left one has a hole in it, so it was probably holding a spear or something like that. The reason why I'm posting this is the hope that someone could know something about similar statues-
